Welcome to Koondrook
Koondrook is a friendly country town situated on the Victorian side of the Murray River between Echuca and Swan Hill. Following European settlement in 1843 Koondrook has developed into the wonderful town it is today.
Our New Wharf
This is a very significant day for Koondrook and the Gannawarra Shire. - Gannawarra mayor, Cr Brian Gibson
Our new wharf opened in fine style, with hundreds flocking to the official opening. The Koondrook Wharf project received $1.5million in funding from the Federal and State governments through the jointly funded Murray Darling Basin Regional Economic Diversification Programme. Gannawarra Shire Council funded the remaining $900,000. The project includes a moored pontoon (with the capacity for paddle steamers to moor), a 28m gangway and a series of viewing platforms within the tree canopy with interpretation features.
